¶ … Myers-Briggs Type Indicator results were somewhat accurate, but they did not completely describe me. The test showed warmth and cooperation, which I do have, but the test also said that I like to work with others, which is not entirely true. While I don't mind working with someone else if it is necessary, I really prefer to work by myself, since I think I often get more done on my own than I do when I work with someone else. The reason for this is that I do enjoy talking with and getting to know people, and when I work with someone else, I tend to talk to them a lot. When I do this, I don't get much done, so over the years I have realized that it is much easier for me to work by myself and leave the socializing until I am done working and have time for fun.
Loyalty was something else the test said I have, and I believe that to be true. I am very loyal to my family and my employer, and I do my best to make sure that I do whatever I say I will do. I also try to make sure that I keep any deadlines that I have set, since I know how important it is to get something on time instead of receiving it late. Loyalty is important to me, and I think it helps me with a lot of things.
The test also said that I notice what other people need and try to provide it. This is true to some extent, but I don't always do this. Sometimes I am just not tuned in to what someone else is feeling, and I don't give them what they need during our conversation. It's not that I don't care what they need, it's just that I sometimes don't realize that someone needs something different from what I am giving.
The last comment on the test was that I want to be appreciated. That is very true, but I think that it is true of almost everybody. I don't know anyone who doesn't like to be recognized and appreciated either for who they are or for something that they have done. I think the test results were vague in some spots, but overall the test described me pretty well.
